The 'Woolwich
Infant' Pub
in South East London and Tranny-Friendly
Believe it or not, in a city this size, there is very
little to do in SE London on a Friday night if you are of
the dressing up persuasion. There is of course Stunners but
that is pretty specific and if you don't really want that
kind of experience there are no other T-girl venues open on
Fridays.
On the other hand if you just want to dress up and have a
normal pub-type experience may I recommend to any SE London
or north Kent girls, a little pub in Woolwich quaintly known
as the 'Woolwich Infant'. Some of you girls will remember
when Karen and Rainy owned the pub, they used to have a
tranny night called Wigs on a Tuesday.
Those days are long gone , however, the new owner Rob is
very tranny friendly and offers a very warm welcome to any
T-girls who go in. The changing facilities are still there
and available at no charge.
Now I always go to WayOut on
Saturdays but Fridays down at the Infant are really good
party nights. (So are Saturdays if you want to go there ).
The pub has changed very little since Karen and Rainy but a
complete refurbishment is planned for the spring. The pub is
essentially gay but there is in fact a pretty mixed crowd,
gay, lesbian, straight, young, not so young (yours truly for
instance).
It is a really friendly place and I have no problem going
on my own, even if I am the only T-girl in there. Loads of
people come and talk to you and ask you to dance. The dance
floor is not big but the DJ plays a mixture of really good
disco and commercial dance music. None of that heavy boom
boom stuff. As a result the dance floor gets packed and
everybody has a really good time.
Parking is easy, there is no charge on the door and the
drinks are at normal pub prices.
And to round it all off, the owner Rob will either escort
you to your car when you leave or watch you until you are
safely inside it.
All in all the Infant is a really good night out if you
just want a party and a dance with a happy friendly crowd.
Well done Rob.
